Not so Normal life

And this is definitely true. I wrote that my life or point of view is very unique. But without contradiction I can now say there is nothing unique about my life. My life is like everyones else. One and the same all the time. Going to bed. Waking up. Eating. Opening and closing curtains.

To me life is same time simultaneously monotonous and unique. Incredible meaninglessness. Totally full emptiness. Totally empty fullness. Etc.

Normal Life

My life is a normal life.
My life is very special.
My life is pretty much the same as everyone else’s.

My perspective is completely different from that of anyone else who has pierced the thin shell of this universe and is looking at their own life. My point of view is completely unique. No one else sees this universe from the same point as me.

My life is not my life.

There is nothing contradictory here. This is completely contradictory. There is no problem with contradiction. Contradiction is real only to the mind. In reality, there is no contradiction.

Spiritual teacher goes Ordinary countryman

When the compulsive searching was going on, the sign of achieving the goal was, for example, that I became a spiritual teacher, etc. I had an idea of what a spiritual teacher was like and what my life would be like.

When the search fell away, the thought that has arisen from time to time is that what if I never become a spiritual teacher. And here comes a big laugh.

What if I will never be any kind of guru or teacher? What if the search just drops out? And that’s all! Lol. What if I live the life I’m already living? What if I am just this ordinary countryman without any miraculous story of any great spiritual teacher? Just a regular guy. I do know my own uniqueness and my difference from everyone else. Of course, each of us is different and valuable. Of course.

You know you don’t have to be some kind of bodhisattva.
You don’t have to be Buddha.

Just be you.
Just be yourself.
Just be the way you are.

There is no other possibility.

Seeking your own life

It’s strange how almost a couple of months ago my compulsive search ended. Life has otherwise continued the same, but the search is gone. The search, and especially finding the goal, was a source of endless hope. At the same time, the search made it possible to endlessly transfer responsibility from one’s own life to the search.

”Because I haven’t found what I’m looking for, I’m not ready to face my life yet.”

So I’m not facing the life I’m already living because I haven’t faced my life yet. This is absurd.

None of my writings reach what is, because what is lives in a dimension where no word has ever been spoken.

It’s winter vacation here in Finland. Or more precisely, Finnish schools have a one-week winter vacation at a slightly different time so that the Winter Vacations do not fall on the same week.

Longing for Peace

I was at church yesterday with my wife. I told my wife that earlier (meaning last week and before) in the church I had felt restlessness and despair. The longing for peace was gone.

My wife said she was just about to say the same thing to me. She had noticed this about me. (I don’t really know how she saw that about me because I thought it was something very deep in me.) I think she has a pretty good answer for this 🙂

There was a lot of talk about the spring. There was talk about how God has the original spring that we can eventually reach. And ultimately, the spring awaits you in heaven. Of course the spring is not only here but you are the Spring.

You. Of course.

Great Unknown

Yesterday I listened to an interview with Jim Newman on Spotify. I didn’t quite understand one point and it bothered me, partly because my mother tongue is not English. I lived in confusion for a while until I realized (with a laughter) that I was trying to get to the state of knowing. And I can never get to it!

This moment, my being, is a great unknown. I imagine knowing is the next step in front of me. If I try to take it, I deny myself, my deep unknown, and immediately get lost.

Deep unknown is like warm water in the depth of which I rest. If I try to get up from it, I feel the cold air on my skin and start to get cold.

You can know how to build a house. You may know how to fix a broken car, but you can never step out of your state of unknown. And of course your unknowness is not yours. You don’t own it. You are It.
